Welcome to AC/DC Power Supplies

Modular supplies meet custom demands

Mean Well's modular power supplies give users the flexibility of thousands of voltage-level combinations to meet a broad range of power requirements.Jameco Electronics now offers Mean Well's modular power supplies, giving users the flexibility of thousands of voltage-level combinations to meet a broad range of power requirements. Engineers benefit from a shorter time to market and reduced development costs. The power supplies consist of a front-end with power factor correction (PFC) and multiple, user-specified, back-end DC modules.

Using zero voltage switching (ZVS) technology, the PFC stage rectifies the line current into high DC voltage (around 390V DC).

The ZVS technology minimises the switching transient noise output from the convertor, reducing power dissipation and improving efficiency.

The back-end DC modules are available in a combination of 75, 150 and 300W single-output modules or a 100W dual-output module.

The modules transfer the operating voltage into outputs from 1.6 to 53V to suit different DC power needs.

Units with five or seven slots accommodate up to 14 isolated outputs, each of which can be configured for a different voltage.

The maximum output power is 1000W.

'The modularity of this product line enables our customers to quickly and easily meet their specific power requirements, without having to obtain custom certifications', said Ray Bellantoni, Jameco's Director of Direct Marketing.

The power supplies have worldwide ITE safety approvals and EMC certificates.

The five-slot supplies measure 10 x 5 x 2.5in; the seven-slot versions are 7 x 7 x 2.5in.

Both configurations include a manufacturer's three-year guarantee.

The modular power supplies are custom-order items and usually ship within a week.

Like all Jameco products, pricing for the Mean Well power supplies is typically 20 to 30% lower than comparable name brands.

Jameco backs its products with a low-price guarantee.

If a customer ever finds a print-advertised price that is lower than an identical item in the Jameco catalogue, the company will not only match that price, but will beat it by an additional 10%, right down to Jameco's cost.
