Power supplies suit medical use

The Ault MW173 products are available in desktop and wall plug styles with output voltage models in 5, 9, 12, 15, 18 and 24V and are a low-cost option for medical device OEMs

SL Power Electronics has released a single-output power supply family for medical applications up to 32W. The Ault MW173 family is designed to help medical equipment OEMs replace linear power supplies with a single, globally compatible switch-mode power unit that is 35% more energy-efficient than conventional models.

'The MW173 is Energy Star-compliant and is in a popular power level for a wide range of portable medical systems including portable respirators, sleep apnea equipment and dental equipment'.

The Ault MW173 family features a 100 to 240V AC universal input range from 5 to 24V.

It also meets the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Energy Star requirements for energy-efficient products.

As an Energy Star partner, SL Power Electronics produces external power adapters that meet the program's requirements for efficiency and no-load power consumption.
