External supplies meet medical requirements

Augmenting its offering of medical devices, Power Sources Unlimited has announced the MPU50 Series if 50W AC/DC external power supplies. The extremely compact supply measures only 146 x 76 x 43mm, and features 4000V AC input to output isolation and safety earth leakage current of 0.1mA at 240V AC. Typical efficiency is 83% and the operating temperature is 0 to 70C, with derating above 50C.

The MPU50 Series has a 90-264V AC input and offers single, dual and triple output models, with a choice of output connectors.

Both input line and neutral are fused.

Worldwide safety certification has been done to EN60601-1 medical standards and units meet EN55011 Class B emissions.

Typical line and load regulation is 0.5 and 3%, respectively.

Ripple and noise is specified at 1% peak-to-peak maximum and units feature comprehensive protection circuitry.

All models meet RoHS and WEEE criteria.
