Welcome to AC/DC Power Supplies

Interactive CD brings supply range together

PowerSupplyShop has published its first full product catalogue on a CD. In addition to full datasheets on over 7000 power conversion products the CD features a number of other useful, interactive features. Product ranges featured on the CD include: AC/DC power supplies in many formats such as, DIN-rail, rack mounted, open frame, external, PC/IT and medical; various types of DC/DC convertors including DIN-rail, PCB, chassis and rack mounted; AC/AC chassis and plug top transformers, frequency convertors and voltage stabilisers; DC/AC inverters for industrial and telecomms applications and UPS products from compact, stand-alone units up to 200kVA enterprise protection and also MIL and marine types.

For system builders a full range of accessories is also available including batteries and EMC filters.

In the event of a standard solution not meeting the needs of a specific application, full information on how to order custom power supplies is provided.

Particularly of use to system builders and VARs are the interactive features on the CD.

There is a calculator function for correct fuse selection and an active 'efficiency comparator' which can select the most efficient power supply for a given application from any manufacturer's published data and actively compare apparently similar products to ensure lowest cost of ownership.

Simply 'clicking-through' the CD to the main website offers buyers of power conversion products a round the clock ordering service, online availability checking and secure ordering.

OEMs and large users have the facility to set up password protected individual accounts and negotiate special pricing schedules dependant on their requirements.

In addition to the fully automated e-commerce purchasing system a full sales office offering a personal service and technical support is available by telephone or site visit.

Andy Moore, Sales Manger of the PowerSupplyShop comments: 'The initial concept for the PowerSupplyShop was to offer 24-hour support to service engineers in markets such as process control and manufacturing industries that need to be able to order industrial power supplies any time a field failure may occur to minimise factory downtime'.

'A 24 hour e-commerce website offering next day shipping removed the delays of having to wait to place orders during office hours'.

'The success of this original idea was much greater than expected and we have now added many more product lines at the request of our customers we are now an online full-service, broadline power supply distributor'.
