Supplies are made RoHS compliant

HiTek Power is now able to ship RoHS-compliant products if required. This follows a period of detailed working with its customer and supplier bases as well as reconfiguration of HiTek's internal processes. In addition, the company has purchased an X-MET3000 XRF scanner, as part of its due diligence RoHS process.

Key members of HiTek Power's compliance team have now completed their training in the detailed spectral interpretation and operational setting of the scanner.

This instrument enables the company to validate supplier RoHS compliance declarations and the RoHS status of its own finished products, ensuring that its compliance declarations are backed by hard, objective test data.

HiTek Power's quality management system has been continuously registered to ISO9001 since 1995, and the company is now well advanced on its programme for obtaining third-party ISO14001 registration for its UK environmental management system.

Registration is expected in early 2007.
